It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover Review

The newest, highly anticipated novel from beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author, Colleen Hoover.

Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all-too-human characters, It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.

Review
5 Freaking Incredible Stars

I actually had to go back because I realized my next half of the revenues was somewhat SPOILERY so I had to kind of restart. Colleen does it again with It Ends With Us. Every book has made me cry and feel and just wish it could never end. It reaches deep into your soul and just kind of tugs at you. Such an incredible talent and such an amazing work. I really can't say to much without we'll be SPOILERY. So if you don't mind SPOILERY keep reading........ If not. STOP NOW.

SPOILERY PART OF REVIEW

Im ended up getting a little personal here so if your offended I apologize but hey this is my blog and my review.

It Ends With Us. Really struck home for me. I grew up similar to Lily except the man wasn't my father he was my stepfather I never did and still don't understand why she stayed as long as she did. She did eventually leave... But I had already made the promise to myself to never be in that situation. Because I knew it was a cycle. My grandfather had done the same to my grandmother and then it happened to my mother.  I am happy to say I did break the cycle and my husband knows if he ever laid a hand on me it would be over and after 16 years together he hasnt even come close and our three boys will never see that growing up. So to say this book hit home is seriously an understatement. Doesn't help I'm totally pregnant and hormonal at the moment haha. But this story was epic. I liked Ryle .... I mean it's hard not to... And I think I might have even understood ... Well shit I can't really say much with out spoilers truthfully I probably already might have spoiled some.... Which is why I'm going back to the beginning and this will become the end of my review.... Which I could have done with out telling you but hey NAKED TRUTH.   So I  could have understood forgiveness in the end thats just how well these characters were written something I honestly can only think of two authors could achieve. Colleen obviously being one of them. Some books are just great... but Hoover seems to continuously hit them out of the park.

Part of Chapter One to share:
Chapter One
#wtf

“You are supposed to be with me.”
What words are these? They startle me, and at first I think I’ve heard him wrong. He’s leaning across the table while our significant others are twenty feet away, waiting in line for our food.
“You and me,” he says. “Not us and them.”
I blink at him before I realize he’s making a joke. I laugh and go back to looking at my magazine. Actually, it’s not really a magazine. It’s a math journal, because I’m super cool like that.
“Helena…” I don’t look up right away. I’m afraid to. If I look up and see that he’s not joking, everything will change.
“Helena.” He reaches out and touches my hand. I jump, pull back. My chair makes a horrid scraping sound, and Neil looks over. I pretend that I dropped something and reach under the table. Under the table are our shoes and legs. There is a blue crayon lying at my feet; I pick it up and resurface.
Neil is at the front of the line ordering our food, and my best friend’s boyfriend is waiting for my response, his eyes heavy with burden.
“Are you drunk?” I hiss. “What the fuck?”
“No,” he says. Though he doesn’t look so sure. For the first time, I notice the scruff on his face. The skin around his eyes is sallow. He’s going through something, maybe? Life is being bullshit.
“If this is a joke, you’re making me really uncomfortable,” I tell him. “Della is right there. What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I only have ten minutes, Helena.” His eyes move to the blue crayon, which is resting between our hands.
“Ten minutes for what? You’re sweating,” I say. “Did you take something, are you on the crack?” What type of drugs make you sweat like that? Crack? Heroine?
I want Neil and Della to come back. I want everything to go back to normal. I spin around to see where they are.
“Helena…”
“Stop saying my name like that.” My voice shakes. I make to stand up, but he grabs the crayon, then my hand.
“I don’t have much time. Let me show you.”
He’s sitting very still, but his eyes remind me of a cornered animal: frightened, panicked, bright. I’ve never seen that look on his face, but since Della’s only been dating him for a few months, it’s a moot point. I don’t really know this guy. He could be a druggie for all I know. He turns my hand over so it’s palm up, and I let him. I don’t know why, but I do.
He places the crayon in my palm and closes my fist around it.
“You have to say it out loud,” he says. “Show me, Kit.”
“Say it, Helena. Please. I’m afraid of what will happen if you don’t.”
Because he looks so afraid, I say it.
“Show me, Kit.” And then, “Should I know what this is?”
“No one should,” he says. And then everything goes black.

Everything is not how it seems. The truth will shatter her world, but it can set her free, if it doesn't destroy her first.

Ugh! No one does drama and mystery and heart pounding circumstances like LRJ! Kayden where can I even begun with him... Sexy, alluring, dangerous , strong , captivating and secretive. Ella well we all know more then she does... Well you do if you read the inside out series if you didn't I can only imagine where your
head would be. I've been salivating for Ella's story! Like just dying for it! And Denial left me satisfied that I finally got a taste but I NEED MORE. HOW LRJ always leaves up going UGH WHY ARENT THERE MORE PAGES will always be my favorite
thing about her. I can't even handle the fact that I need to wait for the next book. So I'll be here not so patiently waiting.... You... Well you should be reading denial. But j would also recommend the Inside out series and the Amy benson series too because they all seem to be connected in ways i never saw
coming.

Review 5 Stars

Dammit she did it again. I don't know how or why I should even be surprised.
Hoover is constantly delivering these heart wrenchingly beautiful stories that
grab you and shock you and make you fall in love with her characters over and
over. Finally I was left shocked just staring at my book I was given clues that
Ben was hiding something.... But never would I even have contemplated that THAT
was his secret. Fallon and Bens story just might be my favorite I love how
different and unique and epically amazing it is. Nothing will hold a candle to
it for quite a while. I'm so glad I got to enjoy these two characters and
experience the amazing journey Hoover wrote with such such I seriously can't
even think of a word to adequately describe how amazing her writing in November
9 is. I guess you'll just have to experience it for yourself because nothing can
come close to doing it justice except first hand knowledge.

Review Reapers Fall by Joanna Wylde

He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

Review 4 Stars

Gosh I effing love these books. There saw raw and dirty and not your average
boring story. There's always so much going on other then just being about Mel
and Painter. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been waiting for Painters book
since the whole Em thing. There was just always something about him dark and
mysterious I guess. I loved really getting to know him in Reapers Fall and he's
so much more then I ever could have imagined. I loved the history of him and Mel
as well as the push and pull between them. I loved the drama and mayhem that no
one pulls of better then Wylde. By far my favorite MC series it's truly the only
one I've stuck with the other just can't compare in my mind.

Review Madame X by Jasinda Wilder

Madame X invites you to test the limits of control in this provocative new novel from New York Times bestselling author Jasinda Wilder.
My name is Madame X.
I’m the best at what I do.
And you’d do well to follow my rules...

But there is only one man who can claim her body—and her soul.

Undone time and again by his exquisite dominance, X craves and fears his desire in equal measure. And while she longs for a different path, X has never known anything or anyone else—until now...

Hmmm. Madam X is a totally what the feck is going on kind of book. Madam X (the person not the book/ sorta) makes me so dang frustrated. I want her to make rational decisions but I guess considering not her "situation" the ones she makes are rational to her. To me I just want to scream and shake her! Ugh Logan
Logan Logan. Where art tho Logan. Logan seems to be like a knight in shining armor but I'm not yet totally convinced. And Caleb seriously don't even get me started on the bottom feeder. I feel like he is so much more nefarious then we have even begun to realize. I hope Madam C starts to want to become her own
person and actually live. Great book that leaves you wanting more.

Review Tryst by S.L. Jenning

From the author of Taint, comes this steamy novel of a happily married couple who decides to take a walk on the wild side in order to add spice to their sex life—but end up in a situation that neither could have ever bargained for.

Heidi DuCane is a tough-as-nails publicist with a passion for success and her husband Tucker. While they’re polar opposites, what they do have in common is a fierce love and commitment to each other. But their relationship—in and out of the bedroom—will be put to the ultimate test.

Rock superstar Ransom Reed is every woman’s fantasy, including Heidi’s. When she meets Ransom, she shares a wild night with him where Heidi gets to play—and Tucker watches, and enjoys, the pleasure Ransom gives Heidi. Though Tucker was a willing participant, Heidi still can’t help reeling with guilt. There’s no doubt that she loves her husband. While Tucker is the perfect lover—generous, attentive and gentle—she needs much more. She needs the mind-blowing ecstasy Ransom offers.

Tucker isn’t blind to the fact that Heidi has unconventional needs which he can’t satisfy. He loves his wife and will do anything to please her The night he watched her and Ransom was so scorching hot that Tucker can’t stop thinking about it. He decides he wants to join Ransom in pleasing Heidi. But as Tucker and Heidi soon realize, it’s not just the sex that is enticing. Heidi felt something within her awaken, and she felt so deliciously sated and loved by both men. Tucker felt it too, and he finds it impossible not to want that feeling again.

Ransom and Tucker satisfy a need within Heidi. And now that she’s had them, she can never go back to the way things were before.

Review
4.25 Stars

Truthfully if I had read the synopsis of Tryst... I can't honestly say I would have read the book. That being said I'm glad I did. It is one of the most entertaining books I have read lately. I can't say it is anything I would normally get into... the relationships and way the couple did things isn't anythingI would agree with, do or even think about doing. But I think thats what made it interesting to read. I didn't care much for Heidi... which normally if you don't like the main character the book tends to be a wash.. but that isn't the case with Tryst for me...  while I didn't like Heidi and couldn't understand her need or want for Ransom it didn't take away from my enjoyment. Tucker... seriously I don't think there was a ever a more perfect male character ever written.... Which is I guess where my dislike for Heidi stems from... I just didn't get it. These characters are all so very complex and well written it is hard not to get sucked into the story and totally forget about your surroundings.
