Sweet Filthy Boy Release Day & Review

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

5 Stars

When I first read Christina Lauren (Beautiful Bastard) I have to admit that book/series just wasn't for me. I never read any of the other books in the Beautiful series and now that I have read Sweet Filthy Boy I believe this maybe something I might have to rectify.  I am fully aware that I may have judge to quickly I felt like Beautiful Bastard had a whole lot of steam and not enough story for me. I like story, I would rather have a whole book with an amazing story and no sex then a book with a crap ton of sex with some other things happening in the background. You might think I am crazy and asking yourself what the difference is? To me there is one, it can't be explained it just is or it isn't for me.

Sweet Filthy Boy... that is BY FAR the most fitting title to a book I have ever read.  Ansel is exactly that a sweet filthy boy who is going to steal your heart with out you even noticing, is he perfect? Pretty damn close if you ask me.. and I am sure if you asked Mia she would say he was with out a doubt PERFECT for her. I really loved the idea of this book, I have read other stories that were similar to this one, but Sweet Filthy Boy just has that SOMETHING that the others were missing, it's that thing that you can't quite put your finger on or name. It made me happy, I couldn't put it down, I WANTED a HEA. I wanted these characters to find what they needed from each other.

Mia is a very complex character. She doesn't just have one thing she is dealing with, she has several and Ansel gave her the perfect out so that she didn't have to deal with some of it, but some of it he is the cure for.  Sweet Filthy Boy has so many amazing elements that while writing this review I had to delete things I was typing because they were something I think you should discover for yourself.

So pick up Sweet Filthy Boy and find the little bit of magic in between the pages for yourself.

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
