Alexandria’s drug-dealing boyfriend, Joel, isn’t exactly the white knight she’s always dreamed of, but she can’t deny the crazy connection they have. She would do anything for him, including helping him sell drugs in order to fit perfectly into his world.
After catching Alexandria dealing for Joel, instead of turning her into the cops, Alexandria’s mother forces her to move to her grandparents’ farm in West Virginia. Spending the summer in the country, away from Joel, is the last thing Alexandria wants to do. But lucky for her, the sexy farmhand, Landon, who helps out around her grandparents’ place, is a very nice distraction. She tries her best to ignore her attraction to him, especially since she still loves Joel.
When Joel does the unforgivable, Alexandria turns to her new friend, Landon, for comfort, and it ignites an undeniable spark of attraction between them. Soon, she finds herself caught between two very different men, and the struggles within her heart just might end up breaking Alexandria.
JUST A little FYI before we begin
If you know me you probably know I consider KA a friend I just haven't met yet, this does not effect how I rate or do my reviews.
Breaking Alexandria blew me away, it is by far my favorite of her books to date ( because I can't know for sure if her next will be even better, though that seems to be the pattern.) Alexandria is a lost and confused little girl who thinks she a woman. I truly can't think of any better of a description of her, I feel like she is such an amazing character, she's strong, willful, stubborn and yet so naive and fragile. Talk about taking a character to the next level. I always enjoy Robinsons characters because they are so imperfect, everyone has flaws so why should these people we read about in books be any different? Her boyfriend is a drug dealer, but she loves him anyway but when circumstances beyond her control have her meeting a very different kind of boy, she might just start to question everything she believes, she may even start to question who she has become.
Breaking Alexandria is what New Adult was made for. We see her grow, mature and find herself. Breaking Alexandria gave me everything and more
And two leading men that are such polar opposites that i actually kind of found myself liking them both...
#TEAMLANDON tho because that MAN is what every man should be.

"You’re mine, and I intend to keep it that way for as long as you want me. I keep waiting for the day when you’ll wake up and realize that you’re so much better than me.”
I shoved him down on the bed and climbed on top of him. “Shut up. I’m not better than you. You’re fucking perfect, Joel. Perfect.”
