June Gray's bestselling erotic serial is now available in print for the first time—as one complete novel.
When the secrets of the past begin to surface, the truth can be disarming
Twenty-six-year-old Elsie Sherman has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Henry Logan, since she was twelve years old. Unfortunately, Henry—now an Air Force officer—has only ever treated her like a younger sister, stepping into her brother’s shoes after he was killed in action.
That is, until the night when one dance ignites a sensual fire between the two, leaving Elsie aroused and confused. Is she allowed to lust after her surrogate big brother, who also happens to be her roommate? As the passion between them crosses the line into a territory that teases with the forbidden, Elsie decides to give herself to the man she has always desired. But Elsie is not prepared for where the relationship will take her.
Henry has been harboring two secrets. One can bring them closer together. The other will tear them apart. Now, with each startling new revelation, Elsie realizes that only she can decide if the past can ever be forgiven—and if a future with Henry is worth fighting for.
Includes a never-before-published bonus short story.
4 out of 5 Stars
One of y favorite things about Disarm was how real it felt. By real I mean that this could be your story, this is not some billionaire sweeps a virgin off her feet type of story, it is a story of two normal people who grew up denying their feelings for the other out of cowardice. Henry Logan has been in love with Elsie since as long as he could remember but she was his best friends sister and that is just territory you do not enter. Elsie has always had a crush on Henry but thought he viewed her as a bratty little sister, since that was the impression her always gave. Loss and sorrow make their already strong bond almost impenetrable. Then one bold move from Elsie takes their relationship to a whole different level. Disarm is full of steamy sex, confessions from the past, sadness, forgiveness, betrayal and sorrow. My emotions were everywhere I couldn't even guess how I would feel on the next page
There timing couldn't be worse though because Henry is getting deployed for 6 months in a matter of days. Elsie has a very hard time after Henry leaves.
Upon Henrys return something about him just seems off, and he decides to seek help.
Just when everything starts to look up for Elsie and Henry he drops a bomb on her, something she never saw coming. Months pass by and she hears nothing
I don't want to give to much of Disarm away, because I truly believe anyone who reads it will like it as much as I did. As I said it was real and so full of emotion that it was impossible not to enjoy it. Even through everything I found Henry almost impossible to resist, and all the characters had such normal reactions to the situations that they were presented with. Elsie is a very strong willed female character and she doesn't have a forgive and forget type of attitude. I for sure think you should all read this one! ( I apologize if this was a little babbly but I was trying to explain with out giving key parts of the story away!)
