Good Release Day Blitz

Cadence Miller is a good girl. She just happens to make one terrible mistake her junior year in high school which costs her ten months in juvenile detention. Now a senior, she’s lost everything: her best friend, the trust of her parents, driving privileges, Internet access. It’s a lonely existence.

But there is one bright spot: Mark Connelly, her very cute, very off-limits 28-year-old calculus teacher. She falls hard for him—a ridiculous schoolgirl crush headed nowhere. She can’t help it. He’s the only good thing at Crestview High. She doesn’t expect him to reciprocate her feelings. How inappropriate, right? But he does. And he shows her.

And that’s when her life goes from bad to good.

Good is Book 1 in the Too Good Series

Do you know that moment where you can lose it all? I spent most of Good waiting for that moment to come. Getting into a relationship with your teacher is never a smart choice, but sometimes its GOOD. I don;t want you to think this is anything like that "other" book where a girl gets involved with her teacher which is a perfectly good book, just Good is nothing like that.  Candace made ONE mistake

and now her parents have her under lock and key. This is where Candace grated on my nerves a wee bit, I mean don't get me wrong she is 17 so i totally understand her response but at the same time I'm a parent and can understand her being kept on a short leash THAT IS NOT TO SAY I agree with how her parents started acting and speaking towards her.  And when Avery a girl at school offers Candace an offer to GOOD to refuse she takes her up on it so she can start to have some freedom which she so desperately craves. photo tumblr_mghd4x4Hqi1rjxfbno1_r2_500_zpsc9e642ce.gif

This is about the time all the innocent (bordering on inappropriate)  little gestures Mark has been making start to take a much "Friendlier" turn.

The relationship is not always easy, what relationship between a grown 28 year old man and still somewhat immature 17/18 year old is. I have to say after reading Going Under by S. Walden is was already sold on her writing hook line and sinker, I will blindly buy anything she puts out and she solidified that feeling with Good.  This is a tricky subject to try to tell a story about, it could go wrong so easily. Teacher/Student relationships are beyond taboo but Walden does such a remarkable job in Good that there were moments I forgot Mark was even her teacher, he was exactly what she needed, and possible she was also exactly what he needed.  Then all of sudden BAM out of no where stuff goes down and me and Candace are all

Which leaves me all (Though I was this way the entire book)

and then I was all

and then WTH at her DAD like really WTF!!

And then the end, I was totally not expecting a CLIFFHANGER!! Ok maybe not exactly a cliffhanger but a moment that will leave you dying to know what will happen next!!

About S. Walden
S. Walden used to teach English before making the best decision of her life by becoming a full-time writer. She lives in Georgia with her very supportive husband who prefers physics textbooks over fiction and has a difficult time understanding why her characters must have personality flaws. She is wary of small children, so she has a Westie instead. Her dreams include raising chickens and owning and operating a beachside inn on the Gulf Coast (chickens included). When she's not writing, she's thinking about it.
She loves her fans and loves to hear from them. Email her at and follow her blog at http://swaldenauthor.blogspot.comwhere you can get up-to-date information on her current projects.
