Dual Review Sweet Thing by Renee Carlino

Mia Kelly is a twenty-five-year-old walking Gap ad who thinks she has life figured out when her father’s sudden death uproots her from slow-paced Ann Arbor to New York City’s bustling East Village. There she discovers her father’s spirit for life and the legacy he left behind with the help of an old café, a few eccentric friends, and one charming musician.

Will Ryan is good-looking, poetic, spontaneous, and on the brink of fame when he meets Mia, his new landlord, muse, and personal heartbreaker.

A story of self-discovery and friendship, Sweet Thing shines light on the power of loving and letting go.

Nicole T's Review

Let me start by saying this book was nothing like I was expecting. We had received an email asking us to review Sweet Thing from Renne Carlino which we happily agreed to do. My other admin Nicole D was able to get to reading it before I could and then urged me to promptly get my ass to it, because it was as good as any one of one of my other favorite authors book. Now Nicole D's review will also be posted in this post but here are my thought.

I have to completely disagree with Nicole D... It was better then any of aforementioned authors books! This book made me FEEL, it made me yearn for a  happy ever after. I had tears in my eyes when it was over. I was sad there was no more, I was happy with the ending, I was sad still over Jackson and then June had me crying some more. (those things will make sense to you after you read this book because reading this book is an absolute MOST DO!

Ok so I have to say Mia often got on my nerves, like i wanted to just bang my head, her head hit with a pillow anything to make this girl OPEN HER EYES!!!

Will was the ABSOLUTE of  PERFECTION. Like rockstar, silly, sexy, sweet, funny did i say sexy?

And heres Mia screwing up at every damn turn! Now I did like Mia despite wanting to smack her upside the head, I just didn't understand her need for "Mr Suitable" when she had Will right there in front of her!!!

Sweet thing touched my heart and will not be easily forgotten. Watching and waiting for Mia and Will to come together was pure torture in the best possible way. They are like the perfect match, it was like their souls sang to each other. I don;t know if any of you watch New Girl and had that feeling of complete happiness when Nick & Jess finally kissed? Because that is the exact same feeling I had when it finally happened for Mia and Will.

It was sweet perfection. There really isn't much I can say it made me laugh, cry , smile and made my heart FEEL for these characters so READ THIS BOOK. Oh and one more thing READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Nicole T's Dream Casting

Nicole D's Review

After reading so many amazing books, especially this year, I in no way say this lightly - Sweet Thing is by far the best book I've read in a very long time. It has earned a spot on my top 5 favorites of all time. I won't spoil the story for you and I don't want to be repetitive since Nicole T's review is pretty much spot on to what I felt, wasting both of our time.  But, from the moment you get on the plane with Mia you'll be enthralled with her Journey. Would I recommend this book - Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Would I reread this book again - I'm sure I will many, many times over. (Oh, I agree 100% with
Nicole T's casting!)

We received ARC's for our honest reviews.

This title's expected release date is April 16th!
