Release Day Launch No Attachments by Tiffany King!!

Ashton Garrison walked away from a privileged life in order to hide from the one thing she's not willing to face. She knows she left behind a trail of pain, but in the long run, her betrayal will hurt less than the truth. She now has one goal: Live life to the fullest with no regrets and no attachments. She has high hopes that a move to new surroundings will provide the escape she desires, but what Ashton doesn't count on is how fate always seems to find a way to screw up any good plan. Sometimes, when love comes knocking, the pull is too strong not to answer. Suddenly, what she thought she wanted to escape from is what Ashton now wants more than anything.

Nathan Lockton has one mission: find his target and complete the task he was hired to do—no attachments and no emotion necessary. He's done it over and over again. What he thought was a typical lost-and-found job has turned into a life examining moment as Nathan is forced to deal with something he has always ignored--his feelings. Now faced with a decision, Nathan must choose to either follow his heart or complete the job.

Love can come when you least expect it. The question is: If the odds are stacked against you, how far are you willing to go for the one you love?

Jess "Jewell" had vowed no men, no relationships and no connections. Then she meets Devin & Mitch and her world is sent into a tailspin.  She has this insane chemistry with Devin but he scares her and then there is the ever sexy Mitch too, what's a girl in hiding supposed to do? On top of that her friend Carlie had ambushed her into trying out for ballet the one thing she misses and craves from her old life. Playing Patience Blog Tour

Playing Patience
Sometimes all you need is Patience.

Life’s been hard for Zeke. Being a punching bag for his alcoholic father has turned him into stone. Not even the dodgy trailer park he lives in can scare him. Fighting is his release and sex, drugs, and his guitar bring him peace, but deep down Zeke isn’t quite as hard as he makes himself out to be. When he meets Patience, she finds all his broken pieces and puts him back together, but she’s a ray of light in his shadowed life and the last thing he wants to do is bring her into his dark world. Playing careless is easy, playing the bad guy can be fun, but playing Patience is impossible, especially when she can see right through him.

Zeke isn’t the only one who’s broken, and for the first time, in a long time, Patience feels alive. Her black and white world gets a shot of color when she meets Zeke. He’s unlike anyone she’s ever met with his tattoos, piercings, and blunt honesty. She wants nothing more than to let go and ride the wild side with him, but some wounds never heal and the broken pieces of Patience aren’t so easy to find.

***Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature readers only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

5 out of 5 Stars

"You want to know what I am? I'm shattered, that's what I am. There are tiny pieces of Patience scattered all over."

Patience and Zeke are both broken

but there is something about the them together that helps them feel almost normal. I was not expecting a story that had such dark depths to it. I guess i don't always listen when someone says Oh just so you know this isn't like my other books... I thought I was in for a hot and steamy rock star romance.. now don't get me wrong there was plenty of steam! But it was so much more then that, its going to touch your heart and make you want to comfort these characters, that are so well developed you feel like you know them like really know them. Expect to get lost in the story as soon as you start it, block out hours because you are not going to want to put it down. At the end my first thought was
 photo tumblr_inline_miw4vaP0z71rgr041-Copy_zps331b9ae7.gif

Zeke doesn't "do" the whole girlfriend thing but from his first glimpse of Patience he was a goner and nothing was ever going to be the same for either of them.

" He was like a rainbow in my black-and-white movie, a soothing touch against jagged scars."

Her cheeks turned pink and a frown pulled on her pouty mouth.
“I shouldn’t have come here. I just wanted to say thanks.” Her eyes cut me before she turned and walked away.
She made it to the hood of the waiting car, before my conscious peeked out and slapped the shit out of me.
“Hey,” I called out to her.
She stopped and faced me again. Instantly, I felt like the biggest dick in the south when I saw her eyes brimming with tears. Someone so sensitive didn’t stand a chance around a person like me, but knowing that I’d probably never see her face again made it okay for me to kind of apologize for being myself for some reason.
“I’m rude, but you’ve seen firsthand what happens to shiny things in a chop shop,” I gestured to the world around us. “Your best bet is to stay away from these parts, princess. A pretty thing like you wouldn’t last two hours out here. How long were you at The Pit last night before you were dying on the bathroom floor? An hour, tops? Think of my rudeness as a blessing.” I adjusted my guitar case in my sweaty palm and turned toward my trailer door.
I looked back to get one final glimpse of her. The contrast between her and the trailer park around her was alarming, although, with her fair skin, white hair, and pale, blue eyes, I’m sure she stuck out just about anywhere she went. She was unique, a single snowflake with her own icy patterns, and if she stayed in my hell any longer she’d melt.
“Have a nice trip back to Wonderland, Snowflake,” I said, as I opened my the door,
“My name is Patience,” she snapped.
Patience…it was as unique as its owner. I liked it, although, I’d never admit that out loud. Instead, I shook my head and laughed like she had told me a joke, walked inside, and shut her out.

Tabatha's been writing since she could pick up a pencil. Her first publication was a little poem in her elementary school paper, from that point on she was hooked. When she was a teenager, she traded in her girly magazines for personalized writing notebooks.

At nineteen, she met her own personal prince charming and writing took a back burner for a while. She's now married to that prince and the mother of a beautiful seven-year-old princess/rock star. Once her daughter was born, writing came back into her life, and she finished her very first novel, Wicked Fate, in May of 2009.

She's now pursuing her English degree and she hopes to one day teach while continuing to write.

Broken at Love by Lyla Payne Blog Tour Review Giveaway & Excerpt

When a knee injury ends twenty-year-old Quinn Rowland’s pro tennis career, he’s not only dumped by his hot Russian girlfriend but ordered to attend college by his disinterested billionaire father. A rich kid who’s not used to being disappointed by life, Quinn and his sociopathic half-brother Sebastian create a frat house game intended to treat girls how they see them—as simple game pieces to be manipulated for their pleasure.

College sophomore Emilie Swanson knows Quinn’s reputation—after all, he did send one of her sorority sisters into therapy earlier in the semester—but the game and his charm bring them closer together and soon she starts to believe there’s more to Quinn than people think.

But what if the more is something darker than a game of toying with emotions and breaking hearts?

Quinn and Emilie might be falling for each other, but there are secrets he’s not ready to tell—and lifestyle changes he’s reluctant to make. She willingly stepped on the court, but if Emilie finds out she started out as nothing as a pawn in Quinn and Sebastian’s twisted game, she might never forgive him.

To his surprise, Quinn finds that he might finally care about someone more than he cares about himself…even if that means letting Emilie walk away for good.

4 out of 5 Stars!

Wow at first glance I felt sorry for Quinn, yea that lasted about 2 minutes he was behaving like your typical rich womanizing jerk. Emilie is a sweet art student, who is in fear of her parents cutting her of if she doesn't change her major. Emilie doesn't immediately fall all over Quinn like he's used to when he plays his twisted game which intrigues him yet simultaneously pisses him off. But what Emilie doesn't know is Quinn feels broken in more ways then one. I instantly felt for Quinn his actions were blatantly fueled by hurt, and Emilie I want to protect her as soon as I realized she was in Quinn's sites.

Payne has such a beautiful way of painting a visual picture with her words you just can't help but fall in love with the story as well as its characters. If you love damaged characters as much as I do I promise you Quinn doesn't disappoint. Go and grab Broken at Love you won't regret it.

MY Casting

My anger had risen to a boil by the time I returned to our beachfront estate. The afternoon wore on, bringing more and more overnight guests to life in the rooms and on the grounds, and the lack of privacy made me snarl at everyone who crossed my path.
What pissed me off the most was Emilie’s accuracy. I was content to be the monster.
I found Sebastian in the library, a blissfully silent room off-limits to guests. Fewer than a hundred people received overnight invitations, the majority of them frat brothers, and most of the people milling around were quiet. Nursing hangovers. Cleaning up.
The smell of glue and old pages combined with furniture polish in the darkened room. Sebastian smoked a cigar behind the glossy mahogany desk, his dress shoes propped near the keyboard attached to a dusty desktop computer.
I flopped onto a terribly uncomfortable designer couch in a godawful shade of red, rubbing my eyes.
“I take it the wooing is not going according to plan?”
“Not exactly, no. What is it exactly that some girls have against sleeping around, anyway? I find it invigorating.”
“They cling to the ridiculous ideal of marriage and commitment, and the assumption that one day the man who sweeps them off their feet will be disgusted by multiple sexual partners in their past,” Sebastian guessed.
“I think you’re wrong. I just think they like the control.” I sat up when the library door creaked, surprised to see Toby’s face peek around it, and even more surprised that my irritation with him had grown since this morning.
Sun streaked through the gauzy white curtains, illuminating specks of dust on the air like flecks of glitter as the two of us stared at one another. Finally he cleared his throat. “Um, Q, can I talk to you for a minute?”
“What about?”
“It’s about Emilie Swanson.”
Of course it was. What wasn’t these days? “What about her?”
Toby licked his lips and flicked an anxious glance toward Sebastian. My half-brother made most people nervous. Probably because he was a fucking lunatic one bad decision away from exile to Canada or death row, depending on what exactly went down. Toby would probably rather talk alone but I wasn’t really in the mood to be accommodating, especially with the guy who seemed intent on fucking with my Aussie Open top seed.
God help him if he was literally fucking her.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Sebastian drawled. “So talk to Quinn or don’t.”
“I wanted to know if there’s any chance of stopping this round. With Emilie.” He swallowed so many times in a row his Adam’s apple reminded me of a basketball.
“I mean, what if we chose someone else and everyone agreed to the change so you guys wouldn’t lose any money, and…” He stopped, a defeated air crawling over him as he looked at my face, which probably appeared at least half as livid as I felt. “She’s a good girl, Quinn. Sweet and funny.”
“And you like her, is that it?”
He nodded, swallowing a few more times before raising his wary gaze to mine. “I agreed to go to this theme party with her tonight. Before Sebastian picked her. I want to go, but I know…she’s part of all this right now.”
Sebastian’s silence started to unnerve even me. I stood and crossed to Toby, patting his shoulder. “She’s a beautiful girl, Toby. I can see why you’re interested.”
Hope filled his face for a second before I leaned down to mutter in his ear.
“You stay the fuck away from her. Don’t look at her, don’t let her help you in class, and so help me Jesus, if you tell her anything about what’s going on here you’re going to regret it.”
Anticipation fell away from him like the discarded shell off a cracked nut. He nodded, keeping his eyes on the carpet, and turned to go.
“Oh, do stay a moment, Toby. Quinn has to be going, but I’d like to speak with you.” Sebastian turned his smile, the one that never reached his eyes, on me. “Grab Scott and Adam for me, will you?”
“Yeah.” A thought occurred to me, making me almost thankful for Toby and his ill-advised puppy crush on my opponent. “What’s the theme of the party tonight?”
His eyebrows shot up but he didn’t question me. “Eighties prom.”
Great. Fucking fantastic.

Author Bio:

I’ve long had a love of stories. A few years ago decided to put them down on the page, and even though I have a degree in film and television, novels were the creative outlet where I found a home. I’ve published Young Adult under a different name, but when I got the idea for Broken at Love (my first New Adult title), I couldn’t wait to try something new – and I’m hooked. In my spare time I watch a ton of tennis (no surprise, there), play a ton of tennis, and dedicate a good portion of brain power to dreaming up the next fictitious bad boy we’d all love to meet in real life.

Suddenly Royal Blog Tour Review & Playlist & Giveaway

Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working toward a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed.

Alex D’Lynsal is trying to keep his name clean. As crown prince of Lilaria, he’s had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women—especially women in the public eye. That is, until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She’s stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone’s front-page news.

While Sam tries to navigate the new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders.

5 out of 5 Hearts

I have to say this was a refreshing change from what I have been reading lately (not to say I haven't loved those as well). This was a light, witty and engaging story. Sam  is thrust into the world of the royals with a hot playboy prince chasing her like a love sick puppy. Whatever is a girl to do with new found fame, fortune and sexy man? Well Sam doesn't quite know either, and on top of that she had to leave the USA and her father who is sick with cancer to go to this new country.

Sam is such a strong female character she had such a great sense of humor and really had her head screwed on the right way. Oh then we have the ever so charming Alex
 photo swoon_zps30c182fa.gif
who is just so damn perfect! Sweet, thoughtful sexy and a PRINCE!! HELLO!!  And he wants Sam, who is terrified of all that would come with being with a Prince.

Now there were definitely some steamy scenes, like be prepared to fan yourself steamy, but this was just such a sweet romance these to characters were the ying to the others yang and I LOVED IT!

Andon another note was fantastic reading a book that didn't end in cliff hanger!!!

Playlist info from Nichole Chase
I paint. I draw. I craft. I write. What does all of that have in common? Music. It’s true. When I’m doing any of those things or just beeboping along in my car, I listen to music. It inspires me, moves me, and lifts me up. I believe that Plato said it best:

Music is a moral law.
It gives soul to the universe,
wings to the mind,
flight to the imagination,
a charm to the gaiety, and
fire to everything.
It is the essence of order and leads
to all that is just and beautiful.

I listen to music all the time and much to the dismay of my family, I often listen to songs on repeat. Occasionally a song will inspire a scene or a fit a character. Sometimes music will be the very seed that is the beginning of a book. I love music!

There were a few songs that really went with Suddenly Royal. For me, listening to them will always bring images of Sam and Alex. In fact, years down the road they will probably still make me think of these characters. When writing, I often feel like I’m directing the music video for the song—my interpretation of what/how/why in the song, and then write it all down.

Imagine Dragons- It’s Time (Probably the theme song for the whole book!)

There is a scene in Suddenly Royal where Sam is on a plane and puts her headphones in and stares out the window. If I were picking the music for a movie, this is what she would be listening to. (In my head, the scenes unfold like a movie after all!) The lyrics that say it all:
“It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
 Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am”

Phillip Phillips- Home

Samantha leaves everything behind and finds this new life overwhelming. I feel this song explains how Alex feels as Sam tries to find her footing. He wants to shelter her and help her make this new place her home.
“Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave (wave) is stringing us along
 Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm gonna make this place your home”

Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko- Stay
This one has a bit of the feel for how Sam fights her attraction to Alex. Those quiet moments where she is trying to understand what her heart already knows.

Ed Sheeran- Give me Love
(I’m posting two versions, though I really love both—the simpler version fits the book best.)
(You have to ignore the music video, even though it’s pretty awesome.)
The moment that Sam stops fighting.

Ed Sheeran- Kiss Me
The next morning. *swoon* Also, I may have a teensy crush on Ed. That voice… Oh, boy!

These are some of the songs that inspired me the most. If you’ve read Suddenly Royal, I’d love to hear of songs that remind you of the characters or story. It always amazes me to see how other people interpret music and books.

Thank you for letting me share part of my playlist for Suddenly Royal today. I had fun revisiting the scenes I wrote while compiling the list.
