Blog Tour Review & Giveaway
Fat Chance~Brandi Kennedy

Review: 4 out of 5 Stars
I do love a good story about a REAL woman. Cass maybe the most insecure character I have ever read about, and my heart broke for her so many times. This is a beautifully written story not only about find love, but also about finding self worth . Cass grew up with her "brother" constantly belittling her and attacking her about her size, and it has effected her strongly making her doubt her self and put to much into what others think of her. When she has decided enough is enough she decides to seek help, she meets Drew in the most unlikely of places. Drew was fantastic, even when Cass was letting things come between them he was constantly there reassuring her.  Cass was so broken watching her heal some of her wounds was very emotional I cried so many times while reading.  So if you like a read that has some depth, love and even some humor pick this one up.

And Look Out For:

Prescription For Love, book two of the Kingsley Series
In Prescription For Love, follow Cameron Kingsley's journey from personal tragedy to love and, finally, trust.

Fat Chance Excerpt:

"Here we are," he says, washing a plate and handing it over to me to rinse and dry.
"Mmhmm," I say, drying the plate, wishing I could slap him with it, for all the times when I was young that he made me feel horrible about myself.
"Washing up all the dishes," he continues, passing me a glass.
"Do you have a point?" I ask. I leave the glass in the sink, and bunch the little yellow dishtowel on Janet's pretty granite counter. Crossing my arms, I stand firm, though my inner child is still cowering.
"Just that it's like old times," he chuckles, as if we're old friends. "Cleaning up the mess after the family piggy has her slops."
"Yep. And just like old times, you're being an insufferable bastard." With that last statement, I leave the glass, and I leave the towel. I leave the kitchen entirely, and I tell Janet that Rick has offered sweetly to finish the kitchen so that I can get home before it's too late.
I kiss my mama Janet, and I hug my sisters, then I gather my purse and dig out my keys. Making the necessary promises to call when I get home, and swearing that I can't stay overnight because I have to work tomorrow, I peek through the kitchen door one last time. Rick is washing furiously, scrubbing a cookie sheet in what looks like a vicious rage.
"Thank you so much for doing all that, Ricky," I call sweetly, knowing how much he hates the nickname. "I just love that you thought of my safety so that I could get home early. Have a good week!"
Walking out of the house, I know that Rick will finish the kitchen alone, and I celebrate my little victory. It's only one day, but for the first time, I didn't cower away from Rick, I didn't let him tell me who I am, or what I'm worth.
For the first time, with Rick, anyway, I stood up for myself. I'm not thrilled that I had to do it in such an ugly way, and I'm not thrilled that I had to be cruel to myself in order to get the job done. It felt good though, even the nasty things that I said, because I got to watch his eyes grow wide with surprise, and I got to see a glimmer of respect in them.

Damaged by HM Ward

Life sucks. And, as soon as Sidney picks up the pieces something always knocks her back onto her butt. It's never pretty, but this time is different. This time pretty isn't even the right word.

Peter is the personification of perfection. It's like he fell off his angel perch in purgatory, because let's face it--any guy that hot has got to be naughty. He was probably sent here to ruin her life.

Peter is beyond beautiful with his sexy blue eyes, dark hair, and toned body. Add in his charming wit and Peter is everything Sidney ever wanted in a man, but when things get hot and heavy Peter shows her the door. Sidney takes the walk of shame and leaves. It's the end of the worst blind date ever. Her life couldn't possibly reach higher levels of suckage, but it does.

The next morning everything comes crashing down. The insanely hot guy from last night, the one that saw her half naked, is teaching at the front of the class room.

5 out of 5 Hearts

Sydney had my attention from the start I felt her embarrassment during the incident, I could not imagine that happening to me in from of a hunk of man like Peter.
gifs embarrassed photo: embarrassed headinhands.gif

And then moments later we are feeling her panic,
 photo p_zps0b4c5b7a.gif

while we are still guessing about the horrible thing that could hav happened to her to cause such a strong reaction. And talk about some RED HOT action
 photo tumblr_lpyw71JcYv1qh7487o1_r2_500_zps98c0e308.gif

Hot and heavy until an interruption, then all of a sudden Peter says he can't do this. Sydney leaves thoroughly confused wondering what she did wrong. The next morning when she arrives to sign in for her TA position she learns the professor she worked with had passed away, only to discover his replacement is Peter the one man she felt good with and then had rejected her.  Which is only part of the problem dating a professor is a big no no, but he's not just her professor OH NO he's her boss too which is of course also against the rules if anyone finds out what happened that night she is royally screwed. Oh how one little letter can make you feel like your whole world is crashing down on you, if what Sydney had suffered thru hadn't been bad enough, her parents blamed her for it and let it continue.
And then there is the undeniable attraction between her and Peter as their budding friendship grows, and the rumors are flying about whats happening between them!

As usual Ward has such a brilliant way with words creating such a realist world that we can get lost in, and creating characters that could easily be your best friends.

Can they learn to trust each other enough to overcome their pasts? Can they get away with breaking the rules? Can two broken souls mend ?

Amazing work by HM Ward

Blog Tour & Giveaway Light in The Shadows by A. Meredith Walters

5 out of 5 Amazing Stars!!
!!Review may contain SPOILERS if you have not read Find You in The Dark!!

How do you keep going when you feel like your life is over?

Maggie never thought she’d see Clay again. So, she attempts to put her life back together after her heart has been shattered to pieces. Moving on and moving forward, just as Clay wanted her to.

Clay never stopped thinking of Maggie. Even after ripping their lives apart and leaving her behind to get the help he so desperately needed. He is healing...slowly. But his heart still belongs to the girl who tried to save him.

When a sudden tragedy brings Maggie and Clay face to face again, nothing is the same. Yet some things never change. Can the darkness that threatened to consume them be transformed into something else and finally give them what they always wanted? And can two people who fought so hard to be together, finally find their happiness? Or will their demons and fear drive them apart for good?

The thing about love, is even when it destroys you, it has a way of mending what is broken. And in the shadows, you can still see the light

My opinion and my opinion only to me this was a story of HOPE.

At the end of Find You in The Dark I desperately wished I could punch Clay in the face for telling Maggie to move on...
 photo tumblr_mcpw82A50l1qhmakj.gif

that feeling did not fade when beginning Light in The Shadows. Watching Maggie struggle with her emotions and go on with her life after Clay left was heartbreaking.
 photo uglycry_zpsc14d75f3.gif

Seeing Clay at his new temporary "home" gave immense hope for him, but I still wanted to bop him one, as he's saying how he wants to become well enough to go back to Maggie. Anyone else smell a disaster waiting to happen? We meet a new character while Clay is at The Grayson Center her name is Maria my immediate response to her "trouble" now of course keeping his as spoiler free as possible I will not tell you if my feelings were justified. I'm going to warn you this book is going to make you ugly cry but isn't that only a sign of a fantastic book?

I truly don't know how Walters can create such beautiful , intriguing and lovable characters she has such an amazing gift to bring to life this world hat is vibrant and real it's almost like you fell down a rabbit hole photo rabbit_zps092fe2e9.gif

Cover Reveal Stormy Surrender Nicole Andrews Moore

Cover Reveal

Stormy Surrender
By Nicole Andrews Moore

Sometimes the life you planned isn’t the one you get to live.  Sometimes the pain of the past overshadows the future.  And sometimes to start over you have to go back to where it all began.  That’s how it was for Joe Masters.  That’s how he ended up back in New Hope.  And that’s why he was in his thirties and had nothing to show for his life.  He needed a complete overhaul, just like his father’s old house.  Instead of a fast track, he had slowed down and was on a ten year plan.  These days that was more his speed.  And as much as he tried to fight the inevitable, he was learning to accept and surrender.
Martha had weathered her fair share of storms in Vermont, was accustomed to the cold, both the chill in the air and the cold shoulder in her marriage, but after the miscarriage she felt like she would never get warm again.  So she did the research from the laptop while sitting in front of the fireplace.  She knew what she needed when she Googled hope, she just never imagined that it would bring her to New Hope, South Carolina.  She never imagined that her husband would trick her into leaving and never follow.  She never imagined that a southern storm with all its force and fury could be so destructive.  But after the storm, the land is washed clean.  It’s perfect for a fresh start, a clean slate, and a new love.

For fun, she spends time with those she cares about, cooks, reads, writes, and especially lives to travel.  The current travel goal: visit every Margaritaville.  Two down!  (Eleven to go?)

Walking Disaster

Can you love someone too much?

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.

In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.

Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

Review & Thoughts

So I want to start by being completely honest. I had my reservations about this book. I didn't understand the point of rewriting a the same book just from another POV. I was getting annoyed that it seemed a lot of authors were going to be doing this. That being said I will HAPPILY admit I was wrong. This book is not even close to being the same as Beautiful Disaster, I mean yes the events are the same but the emotions and thought process behind this book is completely different. And there is some stuff that we didn't get to see in Beautiful Disaster.  That being said if you have an reservations or preconceived notions like I did you should throw them out the window and READ this book.
4 out of 5 Stars

So this book had me in tears with in 5 minutes. The prologue was beautiful and touching. Getting inside Travis's head was incredible.  His intense emotions which we only got glimpses of in BD were amazing to see from his POV. I have to say I believe I enjoyed Walking Disaster more then BD. It's just something about how the story unfolded and seeing it thru Travis's eyes. I loved watching him struggle with his feelings for "Pidge" , maybe because in BD I often got annoyed with Abbey I had just wanted her to get her crap together and be with Travis. And the epilogue reading the entire book is worth it for that last chapter!

Release Day Launch & Giveaway! Picture Perfect by Alessandra Thomas

Fashion design major Cat Mitchell has a closet full of gorgeous clothes - and not a single thing fits. After two years of runway modeling for easy cash, an accident shattered her lower leg bone and her self-esteem in just one swift fall. Ten months of no exercise, prescription steroids, comfort eating and yoga pants meant returning to campus as a size twelve instead of her former size two. When her gorgeous long-time friend with benefits sees her for the first time after her accident and snubs her in front of all her friends, Cat’s self-image hits rock bottom. Her sorority sisters all insist that she looks gorgeous, but all Cat sees is the roll of her stomach when she sits down, or the dimpling at the back of her thighs that wasn't there last year. Cat’s therapist prescribes something radical to stop the downward spiral - nude modeling for a nearby college's human form drawing classes. When Cat faces her fears and bares it all for the class, she realizes that she's posing naked in front the most gorgeous, buffest guy she's ever seen in her life. He asks her out after the class, and after one steamy night together, Cat's absolutely smitten.

Nate’s pretty close to perfect – he takes Cat rock climbing when he discovers that it makes her feel strong and becomes a great chef after he learns that the perfect pesto sauce makes her swoon. Cat starts to feel like her old self again - confident and beautiful - as long as Nate's around. Even when he discourages her from entering the Real Woman Project, a design competition for plus-sized apparel, she reasons that he's just trying to prevent old body image wounds from splitting wide open again. But when Cat goes home with Nate for Thanksgiving, she discovers something shocking from his recent past that proves that he hasn’t always been so encouraging of women of all shapes and sizes. Cat has no idea what to think, but she does know one thing - this might destroy their relationship before it's even had a chance to get off the ground.

Before Cat can figure out whether the real Nate is the sensitive, adoring guy she fell in love with, or an undercover asshole, she'll have to finally feel comfortable in her own skin - even if it means leaving him forever.

4.5 out of 5 Stars
Cat was a model, then she had an accident that caused her to be less active. Being less active meant weight gain for a girl who put most of her self worth into her body, could you imagine the feeling of gaining 60 pounds suddenly being a size 12? ( and yes I know size 12 isn't fat, my pre baby jeans are a size 12 and I'm dying to get back in them) She is struggling with trying to dress her new body and feel confident. When her doctor suggests nude modeling for an art class Cat is not so sure, but she gives it a try. After exposing her self and then feeling completely embarrassed, she meets Nate a hot guy who was in the art class.  Nate is everything Cat needs he makes her feel beautiful, cherished and wanted. But then Cat finds out the unthinkable about Nate and it all falls apart. Can Cat find the beauty inside herself? Pick this book up and take a beautiful journey of self discovery with Cat. *I received an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Blog Tour & Giveaway Shattered Soul ~ Jennifer Snyder

5 out of 5 Shattered Soul ~ Jennifer Snyder

"Life. Life's a bitch and then you die. So,fuck the world and let's get high."

That is the opening statement of this book. I'm going to tell you after reading the synopsis I was expecting a very dark and emotional read.
When Seth first sees Ali he thinks she is the closest thing to an angel he has ever seen. Lets just say that Seth's home life is less then ideal with a drunk for a mother and a drug dealer for a brother . Meeting Ali seems to flip a switch inside of Seth he starts turning down things he hadn't before. Tho he learns Ali is as innocent as she seems, she could never imagine what his life was like. I honestly wish Seth could have grow up under different circumstances he deserved so much more. Seth realizes that even tho he thought Ali had the perfect life, that having two parents doesn't make everything automatically hunky dory. Seth resents his want of drugs, but feels like he has no choice thanks to his brother.
The authors ability to describe this tragic world of drugs was amazing, she in no way glamorizes it. She describes it as sad, dirty and addicting. When Seth lets Ali try the meth I swear to you I was on the edge of my seat terrified. I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing about this story it was beautifully tragic. If you need to read HEA's I suggest you stay away. I think this was more of a novella, or I just read it so fast that it felt like one? Either way even with the length this book lacked nothing, it will engage your emotions and drag you I to this brutally ugly world. I cried. Plain and simple it engaged me that much. If you can stand dark emotional read go and get this.

Hellish Nightmare.

If seventeen-year-old Seth Bradson were to describe his life in two words, those would be the two he’d choose. Seth prefers to cope with his crappy existence by spending his days in a drug-induced haze. But when Ali Carson steps into his life, Seth finds something he’s subconsciously been seeking—a new drug, one that consumes his mind unlike any other.

In a moment of unforgivable weakness, Seth allows Ali to try crystal meth, his most addictive temptation. This single event begins the unraveling of both their lives and forces Seth to learn the definition of regret the hard way.
